While not new to the App store, this free little gem is just too good to pass up featuring. Bump let’s you swap contact information and photos between iPhones by “bumping” the phones together. Contact information is saved directly into the phones adressbook and photos are saved directly into your camera roll. This way you can safely and easily swap information anywhere; business cards or that great shot you took of your cat last night. Oh, and did i mention it’s completely free?
Ramp Champ is the lovechild of Iconfactory and DS medialabs. A nostalgic arcade simulator based on the good old skee ball formula. As with all of iconfactory’s products the game is highly polished, glazed in a thick layer of wonderful interface elements and baked in the oven for just the right amount of time. Don’t let the simplicity of the game fool you, some of the goals are rather hard to accomplish and will keep you coming back for more ball flicking. Additional ramps with new goals are available for purchase for $0.99 to add more content to the game.
Orbital by Bitforge is a single thumb experience wrapped in bright neon colours. It serves well as a daily distraction or those in between gaming sessions. It’s simple gameplay is based on destroying orbs and scoring points. A lovely physics mechanic, soothing ambient music and a strong visual side makes it a pretty addictive cocktail. Score points, beat your own score or compete against online leaderboards!
The TAITO Corporation has gone to great lengths to revive this old classic. The Game starts off looking like the classic Space invaders game that we all know and love. With a quick quote from Darwin the pumping electronic music sets the score to evolving gameplay that unlocks completely new features and aspects of the game as you progress through your own evolutionary tree. Before you know it you are scrolling through levels generated by your own music, navigating fast paced corridors and fighting huge bosses. Infinity Gene is something entirely new, strange and highly addictive.
